The Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce will give away $400 in gift certificates to people who post a picture of their local shopping experience on the official Shop Local thread on the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page. Dec. 5: Downtown Alma Small Business Crawl

Also in Alma, on December 5 will be the Downtown Small Business Crawl. 15 downtown businesses have joined together to offer a day of shopping, eating, and lots of fun.

 

On December 5 you can grab a punch card at any of the participating businesses (listed in the image on the right), then visit all 15 for a chance to win a gift basket worth over $250. See image for the list of participating businesses.

 

Now Through Dec. 11: Alma Christmas Cash Drawing

Due to COVID regulations which caused the cancellation of this year’s Come Home to Alma for the Holidays parade and festivities, Alma Action Association will be making a few changes to their Christmas Cash Drawing this year. They have gotten together a group of businesses to have a Customer Appreciation Drawing individually.

Each business can decide what to give away and set their own rules for the drawing. Businesses will start the drawing on Saturday November 28, 2020, Shop Small Town Saturday. The drawing would run until Friday December 11th. Businesses would then draw the winner at the end of the night and contact the winner.

Dec. 12: 9 1/2 Annual Come Home to Alma for the Holidays Jingle Bell 10K Run & 5K Walk/Run

LOCATION: The Come Home to Alma for the Holiday Jingle Bell 5k and 10k will be an out and back in person run, beginning and finishing in the Alma College Oscar E. Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts parking lot. Located on the southeast corner of W Superior and Grant Ave. Registration begins at 8:00 am. ~ 9 am.

 

TIME: 9:00 a.m. open start, the race will be chipped timed, so as soon as you start your race begins!

 

REGISTRATION: Register online at RunSignUp (see button below) or mail in an entry form along with payment to the address below and save the Fee Charged by the Website. Early packet pick up on Dec. 11th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm 102 W Superior (Alma True Value Hardware). (Make Checks Payable to Gratiot Chamber in Memo write Alma Jingle Run).

Dec. 7-12: Breckenridge’s Christmas in the Village

In Breckenridge the Breckenridge Area Action Committee is holding a “Drive through Hallmark Experience”. Merchants and the BAAC have decorated the Village with festive lights, garlands, blowups, and other Christmas decorations.

 

This will be perfect for a trip with the family to stop by and take pictures. There will even be two locations where kids can drop off their letters for Santa.

Dec. 22: St. Louis Christmas Cash Drawing

Shop in St. Louis and WIN! Shop at participating business (listed in the image on the left) and you will be entered to win part of $1000 in cash prizes. Purchases of $10 or more qualify you for a chance to win. Just write your name and phone number on the receipt and give it to the business to be entered. The drawing will be on December 22 at 1:30pm.
